I quite enjoy it when a girl takes control.  :)

The prat in a newish Land Rover Defender 90 who parked right next to me at Strensham Services on the M5 northbound earlier today, despite the fact I had parked in the middle of acres of empty parking spaces just so that I didn't have to sidle down the gap and perform gymnastic contortions to get in my car!  >:(

625bhp, rwd on damp roads. What could possibly go wrong?

It does come with 4 driven wheels.

The second Jagaur XFR  I owned had around 600 BHP after Viezu had a play. And rear drive only.

It did shit me up in the wet though. :D ;D
If I were stupid enough to go for a spin with you, it would end up in a fatality. I'd definitely have a heart attack.

You should go for spin with Rae in his Evo then!   :)   I'm a shadow of my former self....  :o   ;D

Horses for courses.

Personally, I think the power companies are scumbags and they get what I owe them and nothing more.  :-X

The cash is better off in my account earning a pittance in interest!  ;D

I don't mind paying for something I use regardless of price, the one that gets "my goat " is vehicle tax & all this emissions boll ocks, we all know that it's utter shite and the cash isn't going where its supposed to, we must have the worst roads in Europe,  all motorists are being fu**ed up the arse in the UK good & proper. We've recently come home from the Carribbean islands I know that there are bad parts but overall the roads are fantastic nearly every vehicle you see is a large SUV & the sun is shining  & the crime rates are virtually zero, signs stating that bad behaviour will result in the  offender being jailed are clearly  visible, try using " mental health issues" boll ocks over there.

Have you thought about getting something fun, like a little hot hatch or something Rog?

Y'know something that puts a smile on your face when you get in it?  :)

I'd thought along those lines. A hot hatch wouldn't do it for me, it would need to be more like a conventional sports car. But, it just wouldn't get used much.
.
I drove a lot before retirement, too much, and was part of the reason for retiring. I got fed up with sitting in traffic jams, not getting where I needed to be in decent time, the constant risk of getting "done" for some reason. It's a long time since I've driven for fun.
.

.
Actually, the last time was on a skid pad at a disused airfield when the instructor removed the ABS chip from my Merc . . . .

Sounds like you need a motorbike then?  ;D

No, but I read that you can put fresh manure in the bottom of your planter and as it rots it generates warmth which stimulates growth and you get nice big veggies.  :y
Tomato : a ripened flower ovary that contains seeds. AKA a fruit
Cucumbers are fruit too

Steaks, pork chops, bacon etc are NOT fruit and are OK to eat  ;D

Damn, I should have written nice big fruit and veggies to thwart the pedants!  ;D

Horse boxes doing 30mph in a NS limit zone, and the slow coach driver behind it too afraid to overtake it, causing long tailbacks.
If the equestrian type can afford over £100K for a flash horse box, why can’t they afford a few ratchet straps to secure the horse in the back so they can drive a bit faster.   :)  ::)
nail the horses hoofs to the deck  ;)
Make burgers from the pointless creatures.

Our local riding centre has taken to riding the horses through the housing estate, presumably because the fields are wet.  So every road is now like a dirty farm track, and if your do meet one, due to all the traffic calming, you have no chance to get by.

Plenty of free muck for the tomatoes though!  :y   ;D
Don't put it straight on though.  ;)

Only £57😱  standing charge will be over £30 a month leaving only £27 for gas and electricity?  Are you sure you don’t mean £57 per week?
.

No definitely £57 per month 👍

Well.... The reality is that you are paying more than £57 a month because they are chipping away at your credit balance as well.

That sounds above the new price cap rates....

https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications/changes-energy-price-cap-between-1-april-30-june-2024#:~:text=Electricity%20rates,and%20Wales%20and%20includes%20VAT.

I'm with the ever useless British Gas since my energy company went tits up 2 or 3 years back, and they charge me the OFGEM rates for energy and standing charge.

That's probably because I pay monthly for my usage rather than having a direct debit.  I know I pay slightly more, but I have control and they can't swipe huge amounts from my bank account.

I pay a month in arrears as well, so it's like having a free overdraft!  :)

I have a massive overdraft from Octopus because they didn't increase my direct debit during the silly prices, but reduced it by the amount of the government top-up, then only hiked it a couple of months ago.

I'm not complaining that they decided to give me a couple of grand of interest free loan. ;D

The money is better off in your account!  :y  ;D

………….
I rolled a 600cc Regal saloon.....and a 700cc Regal Supervan. :)
………

I find the most concerning thing about this thread is that Opti had not one, but two plastic pigs.  :o
we won't talk about his other blow up farm animals  :-X
Oh, I think we should. At length  ;D
You will upset Rae If he finds out Opti has a flock of blow up "Dolly look-a-like love sheep"   :-X

Nah Rae won't be upset, he'll be heading over to Opti Towers for the weekend's orgy!  ;D

I've had problems with energy companies taking large amounts from my account and have found getting refunds from them is like getting blood out of a stone.  >:(

Hence, I pay my bills the old fashioned way and always make sure my account is in debit.  Fk 'em!  :-X
