Title: Stand alone V6
Post by: bonkers24seven on 01 October 2017, 19:43:04
What parts will be required to get the 3.2 auto engine to run outwith the Omega?

I'm thinking of ABS, throttle and autobox being some of the problems.

Theres a fairly detailed  thread on here somewhere where the engine was put into a Scimitar .

Ecu, transponder ring, key chip, throttle pedal assembly, fuel pump, complete engine, and a fair amount of the dash loom, relays etc...

Exactly what wiring depends on the application... bare minimum would be fuel pump and injector relays, throttle pedal and loom to the ecu, transponder ring (with chip) and loom to ecu...

Keeping the slushbox adds wiring and complexity, not to mention another ecu...

An alternative would be to fit 3.0 mechanical throttle along with cable, and engine loom/ecu/sensors/dis pack/leads and transponder ring/chip to 3.2 engine

Yes like I have, 3.2 physical engine with 3.0 intake, throttle, ecu etc as above.
Cant tell it from a 3.0 apart from the number on the block. Or if you take it apart.

But yes, 3.0 wiring, ecus and stuff would probably be a lot simpler than 3.2.
