Turbo Diesel advice..Omega of course..
« on: 17 August 2006, 21:31:30 »

I know i do not post very often on these forums but believe me i read most posts but now is the time for a bit of advice from you experts, please.

I am interested in a CDX Diesel estate with 11 months Mot.
150k on the clock, I have not seen it yet but hopefully on Friday.

From what ive read the auto box seems to come to its sell by date after 140k. this worries me a bit unless i know any different when i see the car. Is there any other major things i should look for.

I prefer the automatics and ive come to the stage that speed no longer interests me..(forget that statement i must have had a funny turn ).

I am in the process of buying a flat cap, a dog, pipe and slippers so a diesel is the way forward.

Any bits of info will be welcome.
Thanks
Spongebob.. ;)

Ronnie McB will know for sure, but I reckon that will have the AR25 gearbox :(

I suppose if its cheap enough, the hassle of changing autobox may be worthwhile, but I can't imagine a 11 year old 150k car is worth a huge amount anyway...

My feeling is that its too expensive as well.  Have a word with Ronnie McB - he will know what to look for on 2.5TD, and what sort of price it should be...
