Heard a strange noise from engine in the mv6 yesterday, assumed aux belt tensioner. hard to tell in the dark. had a good look this morning & found waterpump bearings shot, good job i had a good 2nd hand one in the shed. got it changed & off to the fireworks display. so good result all round. :)

I like these threads  :)

Today I actually bought my omega and as soon as I got it on the driveway the bonnet was up to remove the oil breather box, wasn't that much of a hard job considering I haven't ever worked on these before.

It's nothing special, bought it as a winter car, only paid £325, although I am planning on giving it a polish tomorrow, it's been 'tcut ed' and whoever done it has got it all over the trim.

Thought about changing the coil pack, but got distracted ::)

Cured the annoying door pin rattle though :)

It wasn't a curry flavour distraction by any chance? :)

Sorted a squeak on the OSR caliper yesterday. Then on way home got my bumper and towbar remodelled by a nice lady in an MX5. A kindly chap in a '61' plate C Class then felt that she hadn't quite hit me hard enough, so went and thoughtlessfully destroyed the front of his car in the back of the MX5. Today I've been mostly pyssed off. >:( :-X

If you didn't have bad luck you'd have none at all! :o :o

Hope you're all OK Al? Can't believe your car has been "Re modelled" again :o It'll be all new panels soon at the rate you're going ::)

Triggers broom. ::).............take them for every penny you can get from them Al.Hopefully the insurance premiums will go high enough to remove some of these remedials from the roads. ;)

Fair's fair :D It still has 4 doors and a rear wing that haven't been repaired/repainted yet. Glad I wasn't in the MX5, although the only car not to drive merrily away was the Merc.

It's not quite that bad Albs, the shell and running gear are all original, if not tinkered ::)

Today, been playing at Disco's.

New timing kits fitted to both my sons and my 300 TDi as well as a couple of other little jobs on both to get them ready for winter.

Dunno if its the placebo effect or what but both now seem a bit peppier......   ??? ;D

Could be that the old belt had stretched slightly and put the pump timing out a fraction :-\ :-\ But probably a placebo :D
