So far i,ve found it a bit of a bore and the beeb piling on the pressure on our athletes with endless hype is even worse. :-[

If i can't sleep i just switch on the Olympics and sure enough 5 or less minuets later i'm off like a light  ;D

Olympics IMO is a sport only beneficial to the actual athletes, It's not something i cant watch for more than a few minuets without feeling sleepy. Don't mind the Winter Olympics though, Cant probably watch that for 10 minuets.  ;D

Think all i watched from the 2012 games was the tennis and that bolt guy falling over something.

I really enjoy, and even look forward to the Winter Olympics. The normal Olympics leaves me "cold", even when it was in London. Ho hum

I have less than zero interest. SWMBO however loves it. She has discovered that the BBC has 8 (iirc) new Olympic channels on sky and  surfs between all off them every waking hour. Drives me fickin mental.

Put the beeb on first thing in morning for the news and all you get is Olympics, obviously nothing else going on in the world!!Why have we lowered expectations anyway?Apparently in the London games we won 60 odd medals, this time around[with most of the Russian team sidelined too]we're apparently aiming for 40 odd ???

I think that a few weeks ago they were targeting over 70 medals. Must have lowered it quite a lot.
