I went several times in the 80's, and it was basically a load of derelict airliners in a field. This has all changed - the airliners have mostly gone, and in there place there are 4 or 5 large hangars full of military aircraft, ranging from WW1 balsa wood to a Harrier GR9 and a Eurofighter Typhoon. There is an event on 31st Aug to mark the last live taxying of the based Jaguars - not part of the museum but there are usually a few dotted about the active airfield.

It's also free entry - although you have to pay to park a car. Well worth a visit if you're into military aviation.

I hope you are not suggesting I am knocking on a bit? Worn out perhaps. ::) :y

Noo, never! :) You're only as young as you feel.. so in my case about 75, in my Dad's case I swear he still thinks he's 20.. yesterday he was 20' up the side of my house!
