Hi.

Sorry can someone tell me again which wires I have to swap to keep power to the memory on the stereo? The Sony works fine now but I lose stations and graphic equaliser settings every time I leave the car. :-[

I'm such a pleb. I left the cable which came with the Sony in the Rover. Just connected it in the Omega and hey presto, my Sony works wonders.

Thanks for the reply.

According to the Sony website, the connector is an ISO on the back. It is a small connector with 16 pins. The Omega block has 22!  I'm lost :)

Hi.

Forgive me if this has been answered before somewhere.

My 1998 Omega has a standard Philips Car 400 stereo system. I took it out today to exchange for a Sony CDX-GT616U CD/MP3 which I originally installed in my Rover 820i. However I have found that the connectors from the Omega are completely different to the Sony. Can anyone tell me if I can get an adaptor or something for it. When I originally fitted it into the Rover all the connectors were exactly the same.

Yes it was a genuine Vauxhall Sensor.

Ok well an update, the car stopped again today and would not restart at all. I called the AA. They confirmed that there was sparks at the ignition end and fuel coming through to the engine. After spending nearly 2 hours on it he reckons that the immobiliser is probably stuck ON. Fuel is being delivered but not as it is supposed to be which he says is the E.C.U. or Immobiliser.

I'm desperate for some advice on this and how to get round the immobiliser

Changed the Sensor for a new one today and I STILL have the problem  >:(

Still no fault codes showing and I even did the paperclip test while it was koncked out and would not restart.....showed nothing!!!!!

Can anyone suggest the next thing to try?

Still cuts out after a few minutes of running and takes a good 5-10 minutes to start again.

Did the paper clip test and got NO fault code. Just the usual 12 & 31. I'm really confused now as to what is up with it.

It's done 80.500miles. Will do the paper clip test today and hope it comes up with something.
