I have just read the oldish thread about this.
My charger has ceased to work. I've checked and there's no power coming through. I read about the relay, but don't know where to find it. Would it be among those in the engine bay by the battery?
Thanks in advance.

Buried up behind the dash ;)

am i right in thinking that the rear sockets also have a type of built in fuse to the centre contact ? this would blow if anything heavy wattage was tried in there.

Only if it's a dedicated fuse in the fusebox. Nothing at the socket (or within 3+ft of it) ;)

Someone must have replaced mine at some point then. The socket didn't work but voltage was reaching the back of it. There was a small loop from the connector to the centre terminal. A fused loop. Some cars have them .girlfriends dads ix35 had it blow when he plugged in a compressor .

On my car this relay was toasted, the interior lights didn't work and no power in the rear gig outlet.

It is fused, on a FL it shares the same Fuse as the Climate Panel from memory, so if its blown CP is also off.

Had the same issue when I bought mine 5 years ago. All fuses were ok and I ended up using the power cable for heated seats instead. Not really the best option, but it works fine as I prefer to have a 12V outlet instead of unused sockets without switches (I don’t have heated back seats).
