went to see this last night ..... very very well filmed considering the topic of WW1 fatalities etc

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and it's an excellent film that keeps you on the edge of your seat!  :y

I'm not sure where they found a big fast running river with rocky rapids and a huge waterfall in the Low Countries though....  :-\  ::)  :D

Nothing wrong with a bit of artistic license Uncle STEMO.  :y

Nevertheless it's still a great filem!  :)

There was a huge Spanish flu pandemic in 1918/19. Killed hundreds of thousands in the UK, and millions worldwide.

This Corona virus is no more than a nancy boy by comparison.  :)

The Spanish flu 18/19 killed more people than the 4 years of fighting.
Part of the theories around the spread and high mortality rates for the Spanish flu was that the population of Europe were in poor health/nourishment following 4 years of war and so were not in a good place to handle the virus.
