omega sport
« on: 06 August 2008, 17:06:25 »

i went to look at an omega sport last night. Very nice 2.2 manual 57k etc Just one thing i did notice was that it had an 'M' Power badge on the back, i was like eh? it looks like some ones stuck on off a BMW m3 or m5 etc on the back.

Also its been on TV as its owned by a bloke that puts them in tv shows and adverts :)

FSH good cond etc.

What would be around the right price do ya think?

Its not that bad and you did get MV6 bumpers and trim :)
These do make quite good money but if you can get it for under £2750 then its a good buy ;)

Garage clear out in March 2011 and I will have a large amount of omega parts going very cheap.

I have a 2.2 manual, and its not sporty!

Spent a lot of time getting performance back, lots of oil changes breather cleaning, its picked up.

But still slow as fek.

£2750 is overpriced, there is a 2001 3.2 MV6 retail spec with 49k miles going for 2.6k.

Its worth 2.4k max.

Although 2.2 its still within idiothead Darling's clutches for the £450 a year tax, isn't it?

Personally although low mileage I think all those valuations are well over in the current market.

No, not all.

People still keep making this mistake, if its post March 2001, yes but pre? No.

My 2.2 is on a 2000 plate, so its not affected.

that car has been fiddled with...

Danny is right offical Omega Sports where only sold post 2001, this one must have been a standard 2.2 GLS/CD/CDX and had the MV6 interior added.

You can tell it was never a true sport, its missing the body kit, the Sport had the meaner front bumper and lip spoiler which that is missing.

This is CD spec car thats been fiddled with  ;)

Guess its good all around, no tax increase, sports interior, just not the performance.
