Usual junk mail arrived today, proudly claiming that I could get insurance through them for as little as £195.

I took that to mean nobody ever gets it for £195....
...esp as my cars are FC with protected NCD, business use, 20k pa (10k on battlebus), declared mods etc.

Seeing as 2 of mine are cheaper than that anyway, and the 3rd is only a bit more, it doesn't sound like the once-in-a-lifetime bargain the letter made out.

Like all the big companies, they offer you a shite offer, dress it up as the deal of a lifetime and know that people will fall for it because it's the AA, British Gas, British Telecom etc etc etc.

Aux belt tensioner let go.

I got about 15 miles before it ran of leccy.  AA lent me another battery and escorted me the other 15 miles home.

Mine ran out of electric about a week ago (lack of use) - I'd walked all the way to find it, and buggered if I was going to walk back home again to get jumpstarter .  I couldn't believe it, the damn thing started on the very last bit the battery had to give
