Can a CCR 2006 unit be replaced directly with no changes for a CD-R 2005 unit? Thanks

As long as the Bose/non Bose is the same. No CDR2005 is Bose compatible, and most CCR2006 aren't either. A small number of CCR2006 are configurable to Bose via Tech2.

If Bose config is wrong, the volume is either too quiet (Using Bose HU in non Bose car) or uncontrollably loud (Non Bose HU in Bose car)

Also, the only coding is the traditional radio code.
