If you thought a neglected Omega was spiteful, wait until the Clit throws a hissy fit...  :-X

They don't tend to throw a fit, they just commit suicide.

Spanner light has been on for a fortnight. Read the codes and its glowplug related. Havent got any further than that as yet, as the Omega got jealous and became incontinent.

Finally plucked up courage and looked at the small patch of rust in the bottom of the spare wheel well (Omega saloon).

A power file doesn't half eats the corrosion away. A small rust spot has now resulted in a 10cm X 10cm square hole.

Will pluck up courage and get the MIG welder out soon.

Exactly the same problem as mine then. Im hoping to get the welder out this week, if my aches and pains allow it.

I had same issue on my Silver Bullet.  I just happened to mention it to that DTM fella one day when we met up for something, and before I knew it, it was all fixed with me doing nothing other than painting it ;D

He's a good'un really ;D

I don't think you'll repair that with a bottle of glue.

Tis indeed the Sportstar.  Like any wheel that size, they don't do potholes.  Strengthwise, I don't think they are too bad, but I have had to have a few straightened.

Not like the MFL MV6 Irmscher ones. Looked great, but were shite.  Still, they were cheap at £231.06 (you can guess how many I bought over the years), but unsurprisingly they ran out about 15yrs ago. Mostly because I had bought most of them.

Hoovered up the boot of TBE, as shreds of rubber had gone everywhere when the tyre was chucked in the boot fast, as the hard shoulder of one of the country's fastest motorways is never a great place to be.

Dunno full story, she was a bit shaken up, and she took my shouting at her as a sign of grumpiness rather than a way to get clear instructions to her about watching the traffic whilst I was changing the wheel on the hard shoulder.

She did say she hit some debris before we went on holiday, but all 4 tyres looked OK to me when I checked, other than the rear ones being towards the wear limit. Pressures were good earlier in the week, but to me that tyre has overheated, and I can see no punctures (but can't check inside of tyre as all the steel bands are razor sharp and hanging out.  Although she's usually good to notice if a tyre is down by its handling.

Yesterday was the first day she'd used the car for work, and from what I can glean from her, it let go dramatically as she was coming home in a hurry, outside lane of the motorway.
