SatNav CDs are they all the same?
« on: 11 February 2007, 16:06:38 »

Does anyone here know if all the SatNav CDs are compatible?

I've got an NCDC 2013 in the post, but without the CDs. just looking at a listing on eBay, and the seller can't tell me if it suits me :)

This is the listing if anyone can help http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUK%3A1&viewitem=&item=290082022880&rd=1s

It's not often you see a zero response post on this forum.

Did you get the CD?

The NCDC range CDs have system software as well as map, so I'm guessing that they are not the same. Whether of not one with teh correct maps (ie, Teleatlas or Navteq) would work I don't know...

The CD ideally needs to be left inserted at all times for route (re)calculations.

A member here, edwardmickey, may have more idea seeing as he has a very nice NCDC2015 with CID setup...

Perhaps that's why they have a built-in changer.

My CID and 2013 arriving in the post soon, so I'll know more when I fit them. I'll post up any useful info when I can.

Are they supplied unpaired? You may have trouble if they are not...

As far as I know they are. They came from separate sellers (eBay.de), and both said they had been properly de-paired before removal (they seem to be very hot on this sort of thing over there).

I think the word in German is entheiratet, but don't quote me on that, perhaps someone else on the forum can translate...
