Help needed with gearbox
« on: 21 August 2019, 17:47:12 »

Does anyone know if the internals from an R25/R28 box is the same as the R25 box?

I have an R25 box manual clutch (PN094 70B) which needs the main shaft replacing, but I am struggling to find an R25 box, so was wondering if I can use an R25-R28 box and swop the internals into my R25 casing.

Does anyone have a box for sale, not bothered on condition as it is only the main shaft that I need?

Main shaft not sure, but the number refers to the torque rating of the box ;)

When you say the number refers to the torque rating of the box, which number do you mean?

PN = Alpha code
094 =daily number in the year
70 = year end number
B = late shift

Right, I have just had it confirmed by Andy Clears that the main shaft in all Omega boxes are the same as the later Carlton boxes, so now I just need to find a cheap Omega box. Anybody got one for sale as close to Coventry as possible.
