Without the 'tat yard' most of them would be unemployed and unemployable.

There is a row of about twelve on the outskirts of Malaga.

They pay between 100 and 200 euros for a vehicle and charge quite high parts prices. They still do a roaring trade and the owners drive very nice high end cars

I saw a glimpse of this - and it seemed the owner had spent all his money on his house, and yet was driving a Kia Magentis (or something just as awful)

I have visited many 'successful' yards and none of the drove flash cars including the multi millionaires up at T J Thompsons.

I saw some of this program and if the owner was any good and organised he would be dangerous and could make a killing

The scrappers charge way too much money these days. They usually want 50% of the new price despite the item in question being a decade old and generally fooked.

You can't fill your pocket as easily as was once possible.

I have visited many 'successful' yards and none of the drove flash cars including the multi millionaires up at T J Thompsons.

I saw some of this program and if the owner was any good and organised he would be dangerous and could make a killing

There used to be a scrapyard in Swindon called Coopers until it sold out to EMF.....when it was coopers...driving past, you could usually spot one or two RR's in the carpark....

Yeah I saw this and felt he had too many guys working there. Did see the omega on there also one in the car park of the auctions to.

Not suggesting for a minute he's on the fiddle, but I'd be very surprised if all the cash sales were taxed  He is (or certainly was) one of a few two breakers down that road.
