The only reason I could think of for the inane hilarity of the onlookers & the mindboggling stupidity of the biker is that they believe in Reincarnation so probably 'know' no matter how pathetically they live their lives, it is pre-ordained by their God/s and 'what will be will be'. There seems to be an awful lot of that way of thinking in the hotter parts of the World ::)
