Insurers!
« on: 03 October 2014, 11:35:11 »

Technically SWMBO has been driving without insurance since she got the car last Christmas. I've just been looking on line re renewing insurance & just noticed that the registration number on the certificate is wrong. Someone had mistaken a T for a Y  ??? You'd have thought that it was picked up when I phoned them last May after receiving a letter from MID to say that her car wasn't insured ...... but you might say I could have checked too  :-X

Close one, whilst the Police may have been sympathetic to a typo error, possibly the Insurance Company might have used that as an excuse it was written off.

Years ago, a friend had been driving his Rover 75, bought new, for two years, before a garage noticed that the front and rear number plates were different: BKX and DKX! ;D ;D ;D

A fitter where I used to work had the same problem .......... he'd been driving his around for quite a while before someone else noticed it - but he was a fitter that could get confused between a spanner & a screw driver  ::)  ::)
