Peugeot who own Vauxhall have announced they are to merge with Fiat Chrysler. So the next generation Corsa will probably be a Punto with a griffin badge stuck on each end.
It aint like the good old days, that's for sure.
-
Or a Corsa with a Fiat badge?
Might be material for a poll.
Which badge would you prefer on your next car (regardless of underpinnings) ?
Fiat
Chrysler
Peugeot
Opel
Vauxhall
-
Well, as GM Europe had a tie with Fiat for several years, the Fiat brand has improved vastly
Does it also mean, as Fiat own Ferrari, we could get a rebadged Fezza with a griffin on it?
Would be RWD for sure

Alfa, please. They also own them :)

The current 500 is essentially a rebadged Ka/Adam/Karl* and iirc the Corsa D/E is repanelled as the Punto, so no news there :D
Fiat/PSA are already one of the four groups building commercial vehicles for sale in Europe/America so they might as well join forces to bombard the world with shit boxes. :D
*delete according to mood.

Fear not, Boris Farage won't allow them into the UK post 2079 Brexit.

I had a Fiat Uno 1400 SX once and it was a cracking little car! :y

Was that the one with the pinstripes on the lower panels and polished alloys? 8)

One of the staff at School had a silver one with the obligatory fluffy dice and black plastic rear screen spoiler. Utterly chavtastic, but absolutely mint as I recall 8)

Uno Turbo. :)
-
A fiat worse than death...
-
The 1300 diesel in the old Corsa's is/was a fiat lump so nowt new here
-
SWMBO had a Fiat Panda about 4 years ago, she loved it I absolutely hated it rubbish on fuel around town but better on a decent run, very poor build quality would never have anything Italian or French again ( had one Renault years ago total shite).

I only made the mistake of owning a Ren o once.
-
I am currently making that mistake. Driven gently it gives 65mpg, so if it will get through an MOT and not break down too regularly I shall keep it for a while.

All Vauxhall models are French now.

The Diesel engine in my astra is fiat. So it's Italian too.
-
and Omegas are mostly German with a sprinkle of British parts
it's very hard to buy British things when we don't actually make anything anymore :(

it's hard enough building a wall these days with all the regulation , let alone a car
apparently people want things "safe" so they don't need to use common sense :P
