Alarm fault
« on: 11 July 2011, 06:40:32 »

Hi I have recently brought a 52 3.2 omega and the last couple of times I have started it the alarm has gone off. I does not set the hazards off and the only way to stop it is to get out and lock it on the button. Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

Horn noise, or electronic siren noise?

Yes - do the final electrical disconnection with the ignition turned on or even with the engine running.

Mind you if the unit is faulty, all bets are off regarding if and when it fancies going off.

The official method is disconnection with 30s of ign off. Personally, I'd disconnect with 15s of ign off.
