What causes this? How does the kickdown work on these cars? I get no voltage on kickdown at all so the error is persistent.
Weird thing is that it seems to kickdown just fine...

Kickdown is a downshift in an automatic transmission triggered when the driver pushes the accelerator to the floor. like taking off from a junction and you need a bit more speed to join traffic. its not slow foot down on the accelerator its flat to the floor. revs will go high and auto box changes to (sports mode) as in some other models. there is only really one way to test it and that drive it. part model number for old type is this new model i dont know that some one can tell you. 1240507 90406887/ MPN1240507 found the GM number GM 90337559 VAUXHALL Omega a 2.6-3.0.

Yeah thats what I came up with too with a quick google search, didn't know it was part of the throttle cable, assumed it was one of the connectors on the tranny.

It seems to be fixed with the throttle cable adjustment and giving it a nudge in the firewall.
