General Discussion Area / Recaro Sports Seats
« on: 09 April 2009, 14:25:47 »
Need some clarification here. The Recaro sports seats fitted to Miggy's (The Snug Fit ones with Recaro logo stitched on, and no extended leg support). Were these standard fit to early MV6 or an option?.

Were they superseded with the later ones (wider fit) without Recaro logo stitching and with leg support?

General Discussion Area / Tartarini LPG Help - Not Miggy.
« on: 06 April 2009, 15:44:30 »
Anyone know anything or had Tartarini LPG?, Need to get it in LPG False Start Mode.

Cut a long story short its on a BMW 318 which Ive been using for trips to London (Congestion Charge  :y).

I've managed to burn out the Fuel Pump (Petrol) whilst running on LPG with the low petrol light on :-[ :-[, why dont LPG kits switch off the petrol pump when running on Gas  >:( >:( >:(.

Any help regarding getting this fired up from cold on LPG would be good.

General Discussion Area / Trade Insurance - Recommendations.
« on: 05 March 2009, 13:22:21 »
Coming up to that time of year again for insurance renews. Got renew quotes for the following Cars.

Swiftcover Main Car: 3.0 MV6 Estate, £151.00.
Swiftcover (Mirrored): 2.5TD Estate £149.00.
More Than: BMW 318 LPG (Our London Run Around) £145.00

All Full Com, for me and partner, full NCD and clean Lic'y.

I know its all cheap, but I’ve got a couple of other Migs (not worth much) that I want to get MOT and Taxed and get rid of them, Also wanna get my Cossie back on the road this summer.

Swopping Insurance is easy but cost £10 a hit. I'm thinking is it worth me now going down the Part Time Traders Insurance route?.

Any recommendations or thoughts please.

Just left my local Wetherspoons Pub (Yea I know, but Ive got 2 within a 5 min walk from where I live), anyway as we were leaving they were putting up Posters, 'Green King IPA 99p a pint' as from tomorrow, every Wetherspoons Pub all day, every day untill further notice!.

Now its not realy my cup of tea, more of a Directors, Ruddles, Youngs type of Real Ale pint for me, but started thinking wheres the catch?, or is it just a Foward Thinking Pub Chain preparing for the Credit Crunch???

As from 1st Oct 2008, under a new legislation (Finance Act 2008) means that New Powers are in force which makes it an offence to use or keep an UN Taxed Vehicle on "Off Road" Area's and Land.

The change gives authorised persons the power of entry to carry out enforcement action, i.e., wheel clamping or removal.

There are only three exceptions to this new rule:

1. Where the vehicle is on private land which is associated with its dwelling and is SORN against that address.

2. Kept on the business premises of a motor trader.

3. Kept on the business premises of a vehicle tester.

So what does all this mean, well apart from the Government earning yet more money from us motorist, it means no more parking your untaxed vehicle at you local Pub, your friends private resident parking bay, the back of your Dads shop etc, even though its all private, off road and with or without thier permission.

You have been warned.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

General Discussion Area / Afternoon Tea Break
« on: 20 September 2008, 17:45:51 »
Just had my favorite late breakfast afternoon snack.

4 Crumpets well grilled, I like them nice a crunchy, plenty of butter, creamy cheese with chopped spring onion then topped with peperomi slices. Back under the grill so the peperomi gets crispy and all that red oil runs into the cheese, lovely, washed down with half a gallon of tea and an Hour of Dave.

Beat that for a Tea break.

For a weekend, just need some feedback from you Guys how many would be interested?

With all these wonderfull deals available on various Mobile Networks, I've recently been giving Vodafone a real hard time lately to put me on something decent or I’m off!, been with them nearly 20 years!

Here's their lasted monthly tariff offer, to keep me :-

500 cross network mins.
Unlimited Landline Calls, 01, 02 numbers.
Unlimited Mobile Internet (fair use policy).
Unlimited Text’s (don’t do them much, might start).
Free Voice mail and Server Download.
Free Fax mail Server (Converts the Fax to Tiff doc, then emails you).
Free email (pop 3 with 10 addresses)
Free Itemised Billing.
Free International Call Saver and Vodafone Passport.
Free monthly Insurance.

All on a 12 month contract, Non Direct Debit, for £17.00 pm,

And because I didn’t renew my Hand Set they added £100 credit to my account, if you work that over 12 months brings my tariff down to £8.66 pm.

Just goes to show what can be done with some persistence, and not re newing your Hand Set every year!
