Don't use gas it's very dangerous , if someone overtightens something or leaves something loose very similar to locking nuts on some Vauxhall models.

Indeed , it can't be safe to have fire and flames via "gas pipes"piped  to your home
and now they stared making gas pipes out of yellow MDPE plastic
which i think could melt ,leaking fire out
which could cause er ..... a fire 

Nah. The earth holds the fire in till it reaches the copper pipe outside your house.

I would love to continue this discussion, but my  neighbour has just come home with a flat tyre & she is having trouble getting the wheel off , got one of those damn locknut things on but it's knackered so I'm going to help..

and the earth/soil heating up (due to melting pipes, leaking fire) ,prior to the copper pipe is why we have "global warming" 
think we might be on to something here

but if the globe was warmer ,that would be less money needs spending on heating bills  which is nice
