Don't use gas it's very dangerous , if someone overtightens something or leaves something loose very similar to locking nuts on some Vauxhall models.
Indeed , it can't be safe to have fire and flames via "gas pipes"piped  to your home
and now they stared making gas pipes out of yellow MDPE plastic
which i think could melt ,leaking fire out
which could cause er ..... a fire  :o
Nah. The earth holds the fire in till it reaches the copper pipe outside your house.

I would love to continue this discussion, but my  neighbour has just come home with a flat tyre & she is having trouble getting the wheel off , got one of those damn locknut things on but it's knackered so I'm going to help..

and the earth/soil heating up (due to melting pipes, leaking fire) ,prior to the copper pipe is why we have "global warming"  :-\
think we might be on to something here  :y
worth starting another a̶r̶g̶u̶m̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶r̶e̶a̶d̶ ̶ global warming thread  :-X

but if the globe was warmer ,that would be less money needs spending on heating bills  8) which is nice  :)
But as fossil fuel consumption would drop, we'd have a an ice age.  You know, like the last ice age 20,000yrs ago when Captain Caveman stopped using his Range Rover.
