Cats on heebay - are you a Milton Keynes based OOF member?
« on: 17 September 2014, 14:35:05 »

Just wondered if the chap selling these is on this forum, really? Or.. to put it another way, I'm after a Cat, possibly worth getting two, but 280+ mile round trip just a tad too far for me, so wondering if the OOF carriage service may be employed?

Please don't take this as a request for Cats, as this has already been put as a wanted in the appropriate section.  :)

I believe ebay have a distinct policy on the sale of live animals .. however there seems to be nowt against you buying some dead ones and doing the world a huge favour ... ;D ;D ;D ;D

The idea of selling live animals being illegal, but dead ones is ok leads my mind to only one conclusion... if I sell any, make sure I kill them before parceling them up.

Problem solved!  :D

Bugger. So there are no OOF members that are in or near Milton Keynes? :-(

Journey calculator saying £40 in fuel to get them, takes it to £110+ for the pair of exhaust cats... too close to the price of new ones (even though admittedly these are nearly new)

Either 'bodge' the existing ones with rusted to hell flanges, or buy pattern new ones.

I should add beer money tokens always on offer!

Hi!

Thanks for the reply...

I've sourced another cat - but with equally rusted flanges, the idea being weld new ones on, then swap over one evening.

Can I ask how long these have been on the car / state of the flanges, please, scimmy_man?

Selby's a MUCH better proposition than Milton Keynes! Under an hour and half drive, only :-)
