Pair of new rear dampers on mine, since one of them decided to deconstruct itself and drop one of the bump stops God knows where... Nice simple job, under an hour including tea breaks and untangling one's headphones. And chasing the woofer up the street after she saw the perfect chance to escape as I jacked the car up...

I had no expectations before driving it (having never driven so much as a milk float), and left very, very impressed.

A doddle to drive in traffic, and on the motorway, accelerating into a gap is so quick it needs alot of care, but no wallowing, little roll and just enough road noise to remind you that you're actually in a car... wasn't as surreal as I thought it might be. And certainly alot more agile than a 2.1 ton car deserves to be ::)

£1300 pm is alot on the face of it, but I currently use about £1000 of diesel each month... if the lease rates can get below a grand (broadly the cost of buying and running an lpg Zafira) then it is worthy of serious consideration...
But is there enough space in it (and boot)?

Room in the boot for two rear facing seats... And room in the front for 150 litres of luggage where the engine used to live... Boot is good for at least four suitcases, and being a hatchback it doesn't suffer from saloon style height restrictions, with even more storage space beneath the boot flor where the fuel tank used to be... There's a video of a Norwegian road test, which I shall rummage up later, that shows just how much stuff you can fit in it :y

Slapped some new rear pads in TBE. I thought the best way to bed them in was to do a 1 point turn in Brakkers High Street ::)

However, with TC switched off, it doesn't bed them in much ;D

Sealed up scuttle on the 2.6 again, or to be more precise, sealed up the bit of scuttle I didn't seal up last time.  ;D

(This on the SORN V6 up the drive ready for her mini-restoration and return to Britain's roads)

Had a new flange welded on the rusty exhaust cat, as I greatly assisted by standing over him  :y

Second hand - but decent - exhaust given coat of paint

Ready for fitting tonight/tomorrow, we hope.

Picked up a wheel after yet another puncture.

Reset the codes on TBE after she said the EML was on. She needs to rag it more.

Driving the 3.2 gently does rather put that light on before you can say "0420,0430" ;D
