Rumour has it Tommy Smith would train by tackling lamp posts. :y

On his doorstep with his wife & kids inside IIRC; the papers quoted him as "reformed football hooligan" so the cynic in me suspects his chickens came home to roost.. a shame it happened in front of his kids, for sure.
