X20xev camshaft state...
« on: 29 January 2020, 20:33:39 »

I have a opel omega b with x20xev engine.
I recently repaired the engine .
Probably, I put the camshaft pulley  in the wrong place ...
The camshaft pulley have two states, lock with camshaft.
How are they going and how important is their position?

Pulley? I believe you mean the camshaft sprockets which confusingly are the same for both shafts. Each sprocket has a pair of position slots for the locating dowel, intake and exhaust. Assuming you have removed the sprockets from the shafts then the drawing here might help to determine which position slot is for the intake camshaft and which for the exhaust camshaft,

The valve timing will be wrong if the sprocket dowels are incorrect.
