General Discussion Area / Ebay arghhh!
« on: 07 July 2015, 11:48:22 »
I've had it with them, against my better judgement I allowed German a buyer to buy some wing mirrors via the global shipping programme and posted them to ebays Derby depot but they appear to have dissapeared in the warehouse and the buyer has rightfully opened a case against me and as we both got nowhere trying to sort it I asked him to escalate the case, as the case was raised in Germany the resolution center is also in
German  ::).

4 weeks and counting and still no resolution but my paypal funds are on hold. Has anyone ever tried working with Ebay customer services...absolute joke, live chat just cuts you off when they realise they haven't got a clue how to help you and the same with phone calls, I even got put through to ebay.de who were slightly more use . There is no way to email a complaint either  >:( >:(

Any suggestions of other sites where used parts can be sold ??

Fook me ones just shot past me at about 170mph on the M58, never seen anything so fast or stupid on the public road  >:( >:( The  noise as it went past a foot or so from my window, near made me soil my pants in shock  :o  He would have left a pretty long red smear on the carriageway if he'd come off

Just back from a 4 day venture to Sopot near Gdansk, Poland and feelint rather tired  :'(.Me and 15 of my old mates having a rare get together and my sides are still aching just from us sitting round having a laughwith  plenty of relaxing beers, no shenanigins like dressing up though! Sad we all don't see that much of each other

I'm falling in love with Poland big time and this place was absolutely beautiful and the people are fantastic, cheap doesn't even cover it as you can barely spend your money.

I think I am right in saying chip, immobiliser ring and ecu should be a straight swap onto a dti 2.2 as per petrol models?

I'm finding this strangely appealing, only done 900k :) I think Steven Fry uses a cab as a runabout so they can't be that crap

Could any caterers or ,the many members( and there seems many on here ;D) with mutliple weddings behind them, be able to advise!

The future Mrs Omegod is having shall we say, " a thermonuclear pre-wedding breakdown". She has been superb in organising it, as have I in paying for it  :o. We went to the venue to talk throught he finer details tonight, we have 106 coming in the daytime and expect afurther 70 to attend the evening do 7:30 pm onwards. The venue say to cater for ALL guests in the evening buffet at £25 per head, I say borlocks to that! all my mates and male family members will be rather bloated  ;) and won't scoff much and a big meal will have already been served at 5pm. She is taking the venue's word as gospel ...

So...what would you recommend numbers wise for the evening catering...70%..80%...

General Discussion Area / Elec question
« on: 15 May 2015, 11:03:54 »
I have an old caravan mover system that I'm selling as spares repair, I need to show it works to the buyer. It has pos and neg cables but no control unit so can I just connect the cables to a 12v battery , don't want to burn anything out and render the motors useless as I've  had a very good offer made on them ! Forgive the dumb question but elecktricity is a mystery to me  :-[

Now sorted with AXA and get a crappy meerkat, I really, really wanted a churchill dog though  :'(

Big juicy Saab has to go as it's going through petrol like STMO does nappies so needed something cheap and economical to batter to work and back, spotted a 306 2.0HDI on the bay for £250 ono as it has a month left on the MOT,great condition and drove mint and I got it for £150  ;D. Plan was for it to be a free car as the original cat is worth £220 and would have been removed but some shite garage has fitted an aftermarket one along with a new exhaust  ::)

186,875 miles on it  :D  How long do you reckon it will last  ?

Looking to come off a rip off vodafone contract and go sim only, loads of options but these 2 seem decent price wise. Any coverage issues experienced by anyone? also believe GG will pay for reccomendations by existing users so first person to provide me a link or whatever is needed will get the bonus should I choose to go with them  :y
