Mine Desmond was £26 plus change a month.

All post Feb '01 petrol Omegas fall into Band K with the pre March '06 exemption :y

Interestingly, as an aside, because this cut off date is something like March 11, 2006 there's the potential to buy some quite interesting '06 registered cars without getting bent over for the higher rates...

I thought it'd be about £290 if paid in a lump sum, sounds like I was wrong. There's a govt. website you can access to check VED rates.

They whack a lump on as interest for good measure, although not as much as they used to... Full, single payment is £304ish without looking  ;)

Mine is indeed a 3L[but a year 2000]and as I pay it monthly it's costing me just over £20 per month-I think as a lump sum it'd have been about £220 for year, which is why I thought next "step up" was £290.Seemingly this is not so though.

£500 insane rate, only after mid 2006  :y

2001 they changed a tad, but not much. My 2000 plate 2.2 at the time, cost less to tax than Father T's 2001 plate 2.2
