power cut
« on: 30 December 2013, 01:18:36 »

This happened on Monday the 23rd with big storms hitting the south coast

Just as I drive into a Shell petrol station a power cut hits. ::)
My first thought was bugger, "they`re closing early" & then I noticed all the street lights were out.  ;D

They have on-site back-up power, & within 5 minutes the pumps were on-line.

Shame you were not filling at the time, as sometimes those generators do not cut in correctly, just tick on £90 of fuel and bam! Power cut, resets to zero. Pop a fivers worth in, go in and pay  ;D

£129.9 is not a bad price for a Shell franchise. ;)
