Saw on the front of one of the TV listings magazines"Will Kim Tate survive fatal fall?" Surely if it's a fatal fall she can't survive otherwise it wouldn't be fatal?Or has my understanding of English deteriorated so much?

I've been having to put up with that, and similar, shite for years. Just recently it has featured more storylines about sexual minorities and weirdos than any normal person should have to watch. So I told my wife that it was my turn to be offended, as it is not just the preserve of snowflakes, and if it remained on I would watch telly in a different room.
Here comes an argument, I thought. No. She agreed with me and added that Coronation Street has gone the same way. We agreed that, if she felt the need for a top-up, she would watch in a different room.

The teen pregnancy is not shocking any more, too tame. As for your point over the brainwashing of the population by portraying mixed race marriages with coffee coloured kids, whose friends are all gays as the norm, I almost posted that very thing last night. I agree with you wholeheartedly and, if you start to watch out for it in adverts and trendy CH4 programmes, it becomes as laughable as the Russian spy interview. Do they think we are morons? Yes.
The vision of British life shown on tv ads is about as far from the truth as possible.

Strangely, I don't know any really obese people either. My son doesn't know any students who are suffering mental health problems. But these people are everywhere, they represent large parts of the population......according to the news.
Most of the people I know just get up in the morning, get on with their day and go back to bed. I must lead a sheltered life. ::)

Swmbo is beginning to get fed up with the constant lefty liberal agenda in Emmerdale (and Corrie) but still insists on watching it come what may. Even turns the volume up so she can hear some of the dialogue over the sound of herself talking.

Speak to any operational police officer and you will find out that much of their time on many shifts are spent dealing with the results of mental health issues. A large part of my input into police operational matters, amongst the rest, is on or about mental health issues, and other conditions that do affect a significant proportion of the general public. Indeed that is why a number of police forces have patrols that include mental health professionals. ;)

That question itself puts YOUR intelligence into question and shows how little you understand the issue of mental health that affects ALL people at some time in their lives regardless of who they are or where they are from. I was commenting on certain issues raised in the thread about sexuality and gender affecting mental health, but you obviously have failed to understand that. ::) ::) ::)

I read somewhere that the doors for the 2 door coupe were the same as used in the 4 door saloon, to save money.

It was clever thinking on behalf of British Leyland. They knew that, in a supermarket car park, you can't open the doors fully on a two door. Well done, I say.
