There seems to be no let up.

Raises a lot of questions for me. E.g. where on earth are they putting it all? Especially the frozen foods?

By now , I was expecting the situation to ease but  no it continues. Is this latecomers to the game panic buying because their neighbours did last week? Surely soon it will normalise?

Looking for some advice please on obtaining a reasonable price for my Dads car when this "CV19 crisis" is finished. His driving days have ended.

Good points.

17 plate Fiesta
No hurry as I shall be using it for some time
Nice paint colour
Interior fine
Nice highish spec
only less than 12000 miles
New recent clutch
not buying anything else

Bad points
some bodywork damage to passenger side and rear end from parking encounters.

How would you determine the price to not go below?
Best medium for advertising such a vehicle?

Fortunately my dad can’t hear the phone. Gosh what a lot of scammers out there.

In the last 24 hours we have had:

Two calls that failed on answer to be allocated  someone  at heir call centre.

One from “ you house is on the register as having been insulated. We have found a problem with damp as a result”

One from  “BT” .  Automated. “ We see you have been having problems with the internet press 1 if , press 2 if........”

One from  “ you qualify for a free replacement boiler  under some scheme or other”



Anyone else plagued with them?

Here is one to maybe get the conspiracy theorists going.

Governments are going to be cash strapped very soon from baling out failing airlines and a host of other worthies. No tax revenues coming in so where will the money come from.?

One answer is your bank account if it has more than £ 8320 in it.. the frozen account would have course be re instated at a future  very distant date  after  the economies get going again.

The precedent has been set with I think Cyprus during the banking crisis. Might be time to stuff biscuit tins.

Interesting developments.

Initially I thought things might get awkward for Boris Johnson but then I still think he is expecting a no deal in trade talks with the EU(all 27 have to agree), hence why he put an end date on negotiations. There could still be negotiations later when all sides realise what issues a no trade deal will actually create for Germany, Netherlands and France.

How likely is a Border poll ?

I see one did a journey of around 230 miles in UK the other day without manual intervention other than charging hook up half way. Mix of roads including motorway. Clearly progress is being made and room for more to come.

The question I would ask is how does an autonomous car deal with those situations that are difficult? One springs to mind. There is a dual and three lane roundabout near us that is really big and busy. The only way on is to expertly judge a way in and sometimes hope for a person not to hit you. I am sure everyone knows of a similar roundabout.  An autonomous car waiting for a safe entry might create a huge tail back. On the plus side a god mix of autonomous cars might slow the racers on such roundabouts.

The other scenario is does it adjust its speed to the prevailing conditions or gaily do just below the legal limit. I am thinking those scenarios where 10 mph is fast on packed snow or thick fog.

We have a family conundrum.

An aunt recently died in Scotland with a will. The solicitor can find no record though of her deceased husbands will from when he died back in 1990. That raises a number of issues.

My question is.... if he had a will in England made prior to moving to Scotland, would that be stored or registered anywhere. ?  If so where?

Google hasn’t been very helpful for once.  My suspicion is yes if a solicitor drew it up and stored the will. However if it was A DIY job or individual held the will maybe not.

Anyone know how it works in England please?

US and Australia are limiting entry.

Whole cities in China are locked down.

How does that work apart from people just stay home.

If lock down came to a town/city near you, how do you keep getting water, food, electric, gas? How do you pay for it? There are so many issues that will arise after only a few weeks.

Anyone know?
