I usually try to book the emergency exits seats for more leg room, invariably they are row 12 and 13, for some reason row 13 is usually available and I book it. If I'm unlucky then so are all the other passengers...   ;D

When we fly EasyJet and book our seats I always try and get the extra legroom emergency exits over the wing, they are usually row 12 and 13, for some reason row 13 always seem to be available. I usually book row 13 as I think if i'm unlucky then so is everyone else. But as in the case above apparently not...

For some reason I believe USA planes don't have a row 13

I first heard about this complex of tunnels under Portsdown Hill many years ago. Built during WW2  as an Under ground HQ., they were used by NATO during the cold war.
In Part one of the video, the film crew have gained acess from Emergency exit 1. These exit points are still visible on the hill below Fort Southwick.
Military Road ( the public road that runs along the top of the hill ) is marked on their tunnel guide (pause the video @2.35) & passes over corridors 60 to 64.

These guys produce a video every Friday usually of their exploits underground, I think he's based around Dover so a lot of his stuff is from around there and the south east. It's fascinating the amount of underground tunnels have been cut into the countyside for WW2 and the Cold War...

Our local motorway services at Farthing Corner on the M2 the access roads are very well used for a nearby housing estate and surrounding areas, it gets used just as a motorway junction, they have tried numerous times to close off the 'private' roads with gates and locks but they just get broken down... In fact I used it today as it was easier to use the motorway than the narrow country lanes to get home..

One of the two arrested truck drivers has appeared in court this morning. Seems strange to me that he lives and works in the UK, but needed an interpreter for the hearing.  Was he using the no speak English excuse or was our legal speak not very understandable to him? What a waste of eight lives.

Having served on a jury where the accused had a grasp of the English language an interpreter was provided to make sure he understood all the legal implications of the due process of law..

Sold my 3.2 Omega Elite Estate after 10 years of ownership, being my 2nd Omega and lost count of how many Vauxhalls, bought a Mercedes E Class Estate, and I'm afraid to say the Mercedes is far better in every aspect.

Hi, Can anybody please help.
The gear selection lights on my Omega 2.6 cdx Auto all come on together when I select a gear and when I reverse the traction control light and the service light comes on. If I stop the engine and then restart and select drive the lights go out and it drives as normal. But sometimes when I am driving slow the traction control comes in and the service light comes on and when I stop I need a lot of revs to move off. I stop the engine and start up again and ever thing is fine  . I have a button for the traction control but it seems to do nothing.
Cheers, DMC

I suspect your gear selector switch is playing up and needs cleaning...

Oops! Missed this. Yes, that's certainly your problem.  :y

Hope the Merc serves you well Weds :y

Obviously, everyone expects pictures ;)

I did put some pics up a few weeks ago.. But I'll post them again.. Its an E350 and a quick one with 265bhp and 630nm, they can be chipped to 310bhp and 750nm. The flappy paddles are a waste of time, gear stick on the steering column took a little getting used too, just put it in D and away you go. Its doing about 32mpg at the moment. Hopefully it'll improve when I stop using the throttle too much. Better rear leg room and boot space (just) than the Omega.
