I felt queasy on a sight seeing cruise on the river Ouse in York :D so a proper full on cruise would be my idea of hell on earth[or should that be hell on water?]
Big boats don't move as much ;)

Oh yes they do!  It’s just that the passy boats have stabilisers.

Sometimes they work, sometimes not.

Just like airlines the driver upstairs always tries to avoid the storms and lumpy bits whilst on route.

Would I go on a cruise?  No.  As Billy Connolly said, it’s like being in jail with the added hazard of drowning....

I never had you pegged as a snowflake...

Nothing ventured and all that ::) besides, nowadays it won't take decades to work out where the ship sank, although more chance of being hit by a bus or dying from Batflu than drowning on a cruiseship ;D

Actually, I can see some appeal in that. Anything is better than JFK

The only appeal for me to go anywhere by boat as opposed to flying is that on a boat I could have a smoke where on an aircraft I can't and as I get terribly seasick the further chances of me sailing anywhere are zero.

How would you feel if on arrival for your two weeks in the sun, face masks in public were mandatory? Obviously not on the beach , pool and bar/restaurants.

Actually all of this this is bit irrelevant to me , as I have no plans on going anywhere not local until I feel it is safe regardless of official rules. When I do it I will travel in my car where I do not have to be with other people (spouse excepted!). My wishlist is a simple trip to France, some vineyard visits.

If you've to wear it for the 4+ hours you're on the plane for, then quite frankly I don't think you would actually care ???

Personally I don't believe any of the nonsense being spouted about people " rushing to get away " & the " upsurge in bookings"
It's probably wishful thinking by the companies concerned, a lot more will undoubtedly bite the dust very shortly.

Your hard paid taxes will be paying for it ::)

There are significantly more people who want to get back to work than have caught Batflu, let alone died from it. And countless more who have had their planned breaks cancelled without knowing when they might happen.

Regardless of what you may think, for some people a week or two in Benidorm or Florida or wherever is a big deal that they scrimp and save for all year for. To have had that taken away means alot. And I would wager that the majority of them have religiously locked themselves away since March.

Next week we are planning a trip to Uttoxeter.

That's as far as I'm going this year.
