Admiral multi car.
« on: 18 October 2016, 14:22:43 »

The insurance for the Jag runs out on November 6th.

Thought I'd give Admiral multi car a bell......£694.80.

This figure is made up of £452.10 for the XFR and £242.70 for the Signum. Too much. :-\

However I did find Admiral  cheapest for individual quotes. Quite why I have no idea. ???

A much more healthy £324.17 for the Jag, a saving of almost £130 ......and £177.82 for the Signum, a further saving of £65.

When I asked the girl why the multi car policy worked out far more expensive (almost £200) more than two separate policies, she replied "dunno" or words to that effect.

Obviously a lot of staff training for the employees takes place with an answer like that !

The correct answer, of course, being "Our research shows that, statistically, drivers who get a quote for a muti-car policy are more likely to make a claim. Oh, Hang on, Dr. Opti. There - we've just amended your details on that second quote. That'll be £452.10 for the XFR..."  ::)

Seems to be fairly standard these days, the need to shop around every year in order to to get the best deal, which wont be the best on the next renewal.

Its a shame that the Insurance, ISP, Mobile Networks, to name a few, seem to be locked into a battle to pinch existing Customers from each other every year with all sorts of incentives, joining discounts, cash back schemes, etc, only to lose them the following year.

Why dont they just use the Marketing Funds they throw away at this on rewarding existing Customers, then this would sort out the Men from the Boys, and we, The Customer, could concentrate on the level of Service being offered than who's the Cheapest at any one month.
