Back to omega...again :)
« on: 19 November 2016, 15:10:04 »

Hi all, my another omega 2.6 CD, 109k on the clock, got black leather seats...and nothing else :P
Missing cruise control :( oh well, it's only CD...
All electric working as should, air con etc.
Engine run from first turn and working so quiet, lovely :)
Headlamp are from pre facelift...don't know why, I can't see if car was hit or no
Small bubble of rust on one of the arches...nothing serious.
Any Idea how to remove towing bar? I mean wires...I have been told was fitted about year ago, looks new, but will mount irmscher kit after christmas...so must be remove.
Got set of 17 alloys need tyres.
Looking for 2 din radio, carpet mats, rear window blind.
Any way, car for silly money so...happy man :)
That's it for now.
Kind Regards

You probably know, but you can retro fit Cruise control  :y

All you need is a Omega Cruise Stalk, somebody with Tech 2 and a few mins  :y

I fitted to my Dads Face Lift Desmond a few years ago as that was the CD model as he missed Cruise from his old Carlton Diplomat ;)

I am sure there is a guide on here.... ;)

Very good! Wish you saw more int hat shade of silver. That'll look great very soon, I'm sure.

The headlamps may be PFL, but they look very clean - were they fitted as brand new items, do you think?

They were made by Prodrive for GM. Only available second hand. Also Irmscher produced a selection. Ebay.de and Irmscher are the two places to start looking.  Alternatively you might find it easier, if not cheaper, to buy a second hand lid with one fitted. :-\

Just be aware that pre and post facelift are different shapes and cannot be swapped. This applies to both the lid and the spoiler ;)

Thank you for your reply!

I just made a separate thread so please tell me if I continue asking questions here and you detele the other one or... keep trying there. I am looking for one for 3 weeks now and could not find anything, so in a nutshell... I want to buy one if anybody has one to sell.
