Title: Another year's ticket on the ex plod
Post by: GastronomicKleptomaniac on 02 October 2019, 13:03:20
 :y

Been off the road for three months while I've been playing with the new one (vRS Skoda, since you ask). Went to tax the ex plod yesterday, online, and got a message "terribly sorry old chum, it appears you've forgotten the yearly health check".
Booked in this morning, pass with an advisory on the steering idler, just starting to show wear.

Bloody glad it passed, only 2.5k miles last year and the one before...

Its in with the Wizard for rear arches at the end of this month, then my winter project is getting it all nice and tidy inside and out. Bit of paint, few bits of trim and the like. 181k miles young!

There's something about ex plod cars ::)

With that mileage though, the Skoda will take just as much suspension work as an Omega  ;D

Well done. Another Omega back on the road.

Reminds me that I must get one of my Omegas ready for it's forthcoming MOT.
