Just trying to gauge intrest in a Scottish Venue. No date or location yet.

There used to be a really good chippy on the A9 just north of the Black Isle. Can't for the life of me remember the name of the place, but the first place you get to after the bridge/causeway heading north :y
Tongue, about halfway between Cape Wrath and John O'Groats, but keck all there iirc,
Or Pitlochry, big car park between the main street and the dam, quite nice in the summer :y

Are we talking later on in the year? Obviously it will depend on work scedule and dates when I am visiting family in Forfar but, if it all work out then I would be up for it.

Having said that, it's a Thursday, Friday, Saturday trip I think, and as most meets are on a Sunday ........... Oops!

might i suggest somewhere around the borders to allow our friends from down south to visit?
how about gretna? back of the blacksmiths shop big car park etc and just the place to get hitched or renew tho's vows!! mmm

shame you couldnt do it near the lakes meet half way up then :y would have to be a stay over for us not a major problem as we are planning to use the van as a camper this year sort of ;D ;D

Right, I'm going to be in Forfar from 12th to 19th June, so, providing I get time off from SWMBO.... would this be a good time of year for all others concerned???

I remember a meet there a number of years ago, where I think 4 of us attended.
Yourself and your mate, Markie, and myself, if I remember correctly.
I've still got a photo of the day on a cupboard in the utility room at home. :-[
You must love those services, dude! ;)
Anyway, I'm not sure I'd be as welcome nowadays as I've got the wrong badge on me motor.
Still miss the barge a wee bit, but not the fuel bills.

Either a Central Scotland meet like Stirling area or, what about a meet somewhere around Carlisle that North of England members could attend?

Well I hope you guys can come up with something soon...... I have a limited time in the UK and those days are fast filling up with family requests for visits, oh and a first aid course and a medical so a lot to fit in, I could do with a bit of r and r and say hello to like minded peeps!

could do with a meet to maybe sort out a couple niggles and you may have the answer so if anyone interested come forward and if not next Sunday how about next. :D
