skittish behavior at only 70 mph don't sound to me like tyres
I've had black n round tyres on my carlton before without issue
though i've always tried to keep on top of suspension wear  :-\
hence wondering if the idler arm bush was bummed

Don't need to jack car up, just get 8, 18" square pieces of steel, grease them up make 4 sandwich, then you have 4 skid/turntable plates.

a glossy magazine under each wheel works just as well.

But then Webby would ruin his copies of Jugs Monthly..

there's three adjustments worth in a year. And if you replace all of the service/wear parts it won't need doing for ages - twice in the nine years I owned the car.

If only they worked as well with the pages stuck together.  :-X

The RRS is a bit wandery - I've put that down to the worn wheel bearing (must change that, it's starting to get very groany, but I need a 270Nm torque wrench - for the caliper bolts!), 120k bushes and steering box, which I've always thought were a bit shite compared to a rack.

The MINI tramlines like an absolute monster - I've put that down to the Firestone tyres on the front and probably worn shocks.. but mostly the tyres. What tyres do you have, Webby?

Aaron swing by if u need to borrow anything. I have 320 (I think) torque wrench. And if it’s something I ain’t got I’m sure one of the other bell ends will 😃😃😃

Four kumhos as of couple months ago. I don’t think it’s the tyres. But as said we will see if tony can work some magic. He started talking about moving wishbones around lol

Just had two new tyres on the daily, can see why it has an unpredictable lurch / understeer for a split second sometimes... The rear wishbone Bush is cracking on one side. For reference, it was a Meyle wishbone and has covered 30K.
