Had visions of recovering it, but she managed to limp it home.  So checked it, ragged it, agree there is a fault, and sent her out for the day in it.  What could possibly go wrong?

I suspect I will have to go looking for the spare car later, but as per the great Fuse 19, I ain't got a scooby doo where I left it ;D
you should fit a tracker

Ignoring the fact that its current batt is probably about as physically big as it can take, the issue is being left for long periods.  We know that partial discharge permanently damages the battery, so I try not to let it discharge too much and use or charge it every few weeks :)

De-bushed some new Lemforder wishbones. That's about the extent of my energy for a Sunday.

Sworn. Like a trooper.

And got the courtesy car home, which is a bloody lovely condition old Galant, so I gave it a wash and polish. It scrubs up really well.

Fitted some rear pads to the Sh!troen as, unlike Mrs 944 I couldn't ignore the grinding noise  ::).

Anyone who thinks French cars are poorly designed needs to think again... There is no way you could make car components so arse achingly difficult to work with without some serious thought and a very clear design brief.  >:(

Took me over an hour and a half (a personal best/worst) to get it done, but that included the time needed to grind a 15mm spanner down to suitable thinness and a cup of tea to vent my frustrations.

In other news, I bought the pads from Eurocr@p parts. Price was reasonable, staff were helpful, and they were the right parts  :o. I think this is the most surprising thing to have happened to me so far this year

mine was a Legnum. The only interesting thing about it was the parts prices, which are either hilarious or terrifying depending on whether you intended actually buying them or not....... Mitsubishi also manage to make what is a fairly expensive car feel really cheap.
