Maybe these clusters don't have an orange diffuser, just clear. So they've provided orange bulbs... :-\

Today's work: Started prepping the new/second hand bumper. Had to flat out the scuffs and scratches before I send it to the paint shop.

The bumper as I got it, there was a lot of stone chips and scratches although can't really been seen here.

Flatting out the scuffs with 240 grit W&D

The part of the bumper above the number plate was quite pitted, looked liked the previous driver liked parking up close to a wall  ::)

How it looks now, a lot of scratches flatted out!!

Need to put a spot of stopper in these 'pits'. Job for the weekend.

Also had a problem with my MAF, in that it didn't work. Got it diagnosed last week and picked up my new (Genuine) MAF today, I say genuine as the one I just removed from the car is a pattern (the one on the left)  >:(

New Genuine MAF

Removed failed and pattern MAF, Identical in everyway bar the stamps!!

And where it should be. (this photo taken as removed) All fitted and back up and running. Car now goes as it should with better performance/pick-up, no warning lights and better fuel consumption  :y :y

Good result with the MAF  :y
Bumper's looking good too. Mine needs done, and I guess I'll leave it in to a body shop, but would love to have a go at flatting it myself. Mmmm ....  :-X

Flatting's easy (though a little laborious) once you get going mate, just be sure to 'feather' out the around the edges so you don't feel a ridge  :y

Looks great! I would like to have 4 cyl, it is very hard to work around V6. It took me 2 hours to remove ABS module!
Did you notice, you have steering column on a wrong side? Or maybe mine is on wrong side? ;D

Have you had the wheels repainted? usually that style have water marks under the laquer. I,ve not seen a good set until yours.

It is not Opel emblem, is it? Lion with wings and snake? What is it? Looks good.

Got me worried then, thought you'd spotted something on my car that I hadn't.....then I realised what you meant...... ::) It's been a long day!!

The wheels were like that when I got the car, Keith. Helped seal the deal for me as they looked like new  :) As you know I like my car to look presentable and a clean set of wheels make all the difference. I think they've been painted though tbh as the finish isn't as original as you'd expect and even the inner rims are like new.

I'd ideally love a set of 5 spoke Elites, when the right ones come up I'll probably get them.

That emblem is the Griffin (a mythical creature with the body of a Lion and wings and head of an Eagle) and is the Logo of Vauxhall.  :y
