Today's work: Started prepping the new/second hand bumper. Had to flat out the scuffs and scratches before I send it to the paint shop.
The bumper as I got it, there was a lot of stone chips and scratches although can't really been seen here.
Flatting out the scuffs with 240 grit W&D
The part of the bumper above the number plate was quite pitted, looked liked the previous driver liked parking up close to a wall
How it looks now, a lot of scratches flatted out!!
Need to put a spot of stopper in these 'pits'. Job for the weekend.
Also had a problem with my MAF, in that it didn't work. Got it diagnosed last week and picked up my new (Genuine) MAF today, I say genuine as the one I just removed from the car is a pattern (the one on the left)
New Genuine MAF
Removed failed and pattern MAF, Identical in everyway bar the stamps!!
And where it should be. (this photo taken as removed) All fitted and back up and running. Car now goes as it should with better performance/pick-up, no warning lights and better fuel consumption
