Fair comment. But, just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean that you actually SHOULD.

Not my cup of tea at all. If I want a faster car, I buy a faster car. If I want a pick up, I buy a Van because it always rains. ;)

And where's the fun in that? :y

Dontcha just love the muppets on here that shoot other people's car/ideas down cos they simply don't like them! ::)
How very boring.

You been watching 'Pimp my Ride' or summat?

Have at it mate, cant wait to see the finished thing!

On a more serious note, you will have removed a lot of weight from the back end-Its going to be a bit skitish in the wet,3.0L etc.
Fill the wheel well up with Lead??

eddie

There's some weight to go back in yet - probably as much as I've removed.
As far as weight distribution goes, it's all good as there will be less weight on the rear overhang. :y

It's only a 2.5 but I see yer point! That's why I kinda like Traction Control ;)

I really enjoy seeing projects like these...  To see the ideas come into realisation has to carry a good feeling about it...

I really am looking forward to seeing the pictures of the finished article...

Need to sell the MV6 to fund the truck project now, and it could be a long wait until owt else is done to it, so it could end up getting scrapped. :-/

Aah well..............

Agreed, but there's no need to call him a muppet. He wasn't abusive, he's just saying it's not his cup of tea and that he'd buy a van for practicality.

You know what?
Forget it.

Sorry to anyone who kinda liked this whole truck thing, but people like these two give OOF a bad name and I don't wanna get into a war of words with keyboard warriors, so I'll depart.

S'posed to be a thread about building a pick-up from an Omega, not what other people would prefer or how others perceive a post or whether I should do it. ::)

Bye all!

Don't let people like that put you off Pedro, there's a whole lot of us who are itching to know what you're going to do next.

Don't give it up, keep the ones who are genuinely interested, hooked  :y

Don't be put off, matey.

Bye all!

Well one of them has already thrown teddy out of the cot and left .. again ..  and I'm guessing the other only "copycat" posted anyway.

Why let two miserable gits spoil your fun ??? Many more of us are following this project with a mixture of awe, admiration, and "holy shit " ......

Please keep posting  :y :y :y
