Soft limiter seems to have vanished.
« on: 19 June 2020, 13:06:35 »

Both of my Tata XFR's came with a soft limiter which was set at 4000 RPM. In Neutral neither car would rev past this point, which was annoying.

It's not there now and the car will happily rev around to the red line at 6500 RPM*.......it sounds great. :y

Any idea why this now happens?

* Baby/planet killing derv owners will not be familiar with 6500 RPM. ;)

Engine temp related?

It all seems normal TB. No warnings of any sort and the car drives perfectly.

I wonder if it is related to the Viezu remap.

Of course it is, what else? Hope you can undo that for the warranty.

I was going to ask if the software had been recently updated. Although I rarely rev up in neutral I know some manufacturers have bought the limit down to 3000rpm.  :-\

Yes.....strange thing is that I don't recall the soft limiter not being there immediately after the remap. ???
