3.2 litre V6 like a Honda NSX........but only pushing out 165 BHP.

115-118 MPH ........zero to sixty 10 seconds. So not exactly a ball of fire by the standards of 2020.

It was a Fiat 130 coupe. It cost £5600 in 1973. The saloon cost about £3850 (still more than a Daimler Double Six. .......and the coupe is a looker.

It was a Fiat 130 coupe. It cost £5600 in 1973. The saloon cost about £3850 (still more than a Daimler Double Six. .......and the coupe is a looker.

Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder so they say....

I've only ever made a profit on two cars out of all the ones I've ever owned.The first was a '64 FB Victor which I paid £3 for and sold about a month later for £40 and the second was a Mini that me and a mate chucked £20 each at to buy from his ex-wife and sold that 6 weeks later for £100,so a £30 profit for each of us.

Yes....I like the look of the 130 coupe. I think Fiat was punching above it's weight by trying to knock them out for £5600 a pop when a brand new XJ6 or Stag could be had for half the price.

Even in 3 litre Ghia trim the Granada coupe was only half the price of the 130 coupe.

It did have a touch of the 'lairy Esssex boy done good' about it though.

Had two Granadas , I had a 3 litre Ghia in Jupiter red metallic & SWMBO had a 3litre GL in Roman bronze metallic , both really nice cars , my mate had a coupe in Diamond white looked like the Sweeney was around my house when all parked in the driveway.
