Changing the oil+filter is interesting,  if car isn't high enough you can't drop undertray flap down enough,  .....

you need a Pela oil-sucker-outerer :y

My oil-sucker-outerer can't be pushed down far enough to suck the oil from my classic and highly desirable Vauxhall. :-\

The tube is long enough but there is an obstruction of some kind.
Strange  ??? So how does the dip stick reach the oil if there's an obstruction ??  :-\

Exactly my thoughts.......The dipstick is extremely skinny for the last 5 or 6 inches and the tube simply can't be pushed in far enough. :-\

So I've had the Insignia a week,  let's begin.
Mirrors are Shite,  It's comfortable, climate system isn't as efficient as the Omega or the Saab,, and the Infotainment system is frigging not simples, the stupid rain sensing wipers I don't like,, The auto opening boot is nice,,, and I think new tyres will be required as it's got a right old mix on, being on 245/45/18 XL it might not be happening yet.
Changing the oil+filter is interesting,  if car isn't high enough you can't drop undertray flap down enough, and it's easier to remove front wheel to remove oil filter.

Despite having an arse like a big black mama the Insignia is not a bad looking car.

You seem pleased with it overall. :y

If Farage and Braverman had been more 'inclusive' like the NHS they would have been greeted with open arms. :D ;D

The left love to control and close down anything they don't agree with.

Don't think so

National Conservatism Conference: Police told to shut down right-wing Brussels event https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-68826577

You don't need to be very right wing to be considered a right wing Nazi in 2024. :-\

At least the All-aggro made an effort to be modern. :)

Sorry Nick, Don’t think they were ever respectable 😁 on the other hand the Morris Marina …….🤣🤣

The woeful Marina was laughably seen as 'the future' when introduced in 1971......despite the antiquated engineering coming straight from the mid 1950's. :D ;D

Any car in that class is going to cost more, no different to Jaguar etc. If you want a car to spend minimal money on you go for a simple shopping car with nothing in it except the minimal equipment to drive it - steering wheel etc.

That used to be the case, but now everything has A/C, some sort of display, remote central locking, immobiliser, ABS, electric windows, PAS, various driver aids for the safety ratings, electric handbrakes, etc etc there is no such thing as a simple shopping car.

You could get around expensive technology failure by buying a 'half decent' Morris Minor Woody from the fifties or sixties .......for about £10,000. :)

Black vinyl roof and an 8 track sound system. :)

O.J.Simpson aged 76 that's one his fancy legal team couldn't get him off.
That was three days ago Baz.  :)

It's a shame he went to his grave still not knowing who killed his wife. ::)

Are the police still looking? ::)

I think the 5 Series in all generations (except perhaps the E60/61 at the time) has the most tame styling of all the vehicle ranges they make.

If I had the cash i'd happily go from my F10 to a G30 or G60 but I don't so that's the end of that!  :D
Yeah, but in 10yrs when the prices are better.... ;D

Best looking M5 was the E39 from around 1998-2003 with a 5 litre NA V8. Only 400 BHP though. :)
