Verbal estimates are not worth the paper they're written on.  :P

Verbal estimates are not worth the paper they're written on.  :P
hence IF a verbal estimate is acceptable ,you do a written quote
a template word doc edited to suit ,which has disclaimers  :P :-X ;D

I research things before i order them ,and the seller
So do I, and I think I've learnt that if the url has ebay in it, there is a reasonable chance you'll just have a load of grief.

FFS, item that arrived late last week has gone faulty, and the packaging is already in landfill.  Attempts to contact seller have been unsuccessful, and return terms do state original packaging.  I can see this is going to be hassle.
Seller is insisting I return faulty item at my expense.  The only thing I will post them at my expense is some dogturd.

spot on,
if an item is broken, faulty or not as described, open a claim
you have ebay and paypal on your side
seller has to send a replacement or refund , or send a pre-paid postage label to return the tat and then you get a refund
unless you collect the item in person ,paypal changed that recently ,so you can't claim  :(

I ordered a refurbished laptop at about midday on Friday from ebay and it turned up yesterday at about 1700.   :)

It's exactly as described, in good condition and is fast and responsive. So far so good!  :y

And todays "disappointment" which was ordered yesterday isn't actually available in the quantity I ordered.  They can send what they have though, or offer full refund.

Just checking that I can have a partial refund if I take the lower number...

Don’t be silly...

If they give you a partial refund, they won't have any money to buy more stock ;D

Another dispute that I have open, it had 1 minute to go before I could ask Ebay to step in, and the seller accepts a return for this faulty item. Get a feeling that's automated?
