Right, waste of time trying then! :-/

Think the headunit is the philips sc804?(Which I need to get the code for!) I've seen the control buttons on ebay just not sure if they would fit my steering wheel.

Retro fitting steering wheel  stereo controls, basically is it do-able? One of the few gadgets not fitted on my car :-[

Omega General Help / Re: Radiator Fan/Thermostat

The fan is operated by the switch on the radiator, looking from the front of the car it is on the right hand side of the radiator.

I would replace the bolts as recommended , simply because they are designed to stretch and therefore are only good for one use.

Omega General Help / Re: Tyre Pressures
« on: 04 August 2009, 07:02:11 »
The speedo error sounds about right as the tyre size is smaller than the OE tyre size. I had a senator which had the wrong profile tyres on (too small ie 55 instead of 65) and the speedo was 10 mph fast ( showed 70 when doing 60) your tyres are too narrow and with a lower aspect ratio as well try here
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html to find out how much of an error you have.

I used to average about 22 round town in the 3 litre. I only manage around 25 round town in my current 2 litre.

Does as Tunnie says it just holds the gear for longer, and also gears down sooner giving you better acceleration or engine braking dependant on wether you are accelerating or decelerating.
I have found that the autobox in my 2 litre holds the gear longer than it did in my old 3 litre under partial throttle conditions, probably trying to make up for the lack of horses!

Thought I'd have another go, does anybody have any pics or diagrams of what I should have or even better have the part I'm missing.  With not having seen what was there originally I'm  a bit stuck so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anybody have any photos or links to photos of the area where the bell housing connects to engine(underside) so I can compare what I should have with what I've got?

I would call it Bell housing flywheel cover plate.
No doubt Im wrong and someone will tell us the correct name. :-/

That's what I would have thought as well, but have also heard it described as a flywheel stone guard as well :-/

Omega General Help / Engine to gearbox assembly
« on: 24 June 2009, 15:34:19 »
I am hoping somebody can help here, I got my omega back after the garage I bought it from after they fitted a replacement engine after the cambelt failed on my way home from picking the car up. I've had the car back for a couple of weeks and it is running ok but when I had it up on the ramps I noticed that there appears to be a cover plate missing off the front of the gearbox bell housing (I can see the front of the flywheel) I phoned the garage up and they said it didn't have a cover plate on to start with. I was hoping someone could tell me the correct description for this cover  as I intend to get one and fit it(The car is 2 litre facelift with an auto box). Any help would be appreciated.
