Taxi firms

DTM Taxi Services. Highly recommended.  Matters not that it's unsociable hours, and a miserable, grim, wet, windy night.

Massive thanks to Marks DTM Calib, a bit above and beyond, and massively appreciated :y

Does he do electricity? ;)
Yes. Its being topped up with electricity as we speak.

See, this is why electric cars aren't viable - they might get you to your destination, but doing a return journey is asking too much ;D

Our local up market and everyday taxi firm is Arrow Taxis.

They run a fleet of mainly E class Mercedes, and they provide an excellently reliable service. No electric cars for them! :D :y

The firm I work for, has a fleet of E classes.....but you pay extra if you want one....£10 extra....tis all...

Trip into town....£6 or £16, Id take the £6 option...

Heathrow £75 or £85, Id have an E class every time  :y

Depends very much on what the alternative to the E class was, the company we use at work for airport transfers has E class Mercs and Superbs, the Superb is SO much more comfortable than the Stuttgart Taxi in the rear.

She was remarkably chilled over it all when you dropped me off.  I think because, although stressful (for her), she actually didn't have that far to go.

As predicted, she made me drive home, mind ;D

Thanks again :y

Depends very much on what the alternative to the E class was, the company we use at work for airport transfers has E class Mercs and Superbs, the Superb is SO much more comfortable than the Stuttgart Taxi in the rear.

The firm used to have a fleet of Superb's, until the local Skoda dealer tried to rip them off.....you would think the dealer would give a discount when a customer says something along the lines of "How much for 10 of them?" . But when the dealer replied "You pay the screen price" they walked away and refused to buy another Skoda again. Hence the E classes now....MB give them discount!

So the alternative to an E class, could be anything the council will give a license to...which is just about any car, as long as it has 4 passenger doors and not a convertible......could be a bmw 5 series .... or how about a trip to airport in shitron C1  :-\ or Honda Jazz  :-\ or whatever driver/owners use.....even a Mondeo 1.6TD estate  ::)

To be fair, the rear seating in the Mercs is so bad (probably only beaten by the Insignia with its lack of headroom) I would probably take the Mundeno  :y

Insignia Sports Tourer is much better for rear head room, like wise the E Class estate ;)

The disappointment with the E Class is that noone bothers to order the decent seats >:(
