Yes.........out with the old and in with the new. You could get 2019 off to a good start by cubing the Victorian BMW.

It's a new year! When I woke up this morning all my aches and pains had disappeared, I had loads of money in the bank and I looked ten years younger.
Happy new year.

Happy new year.

The benefits of having a far younger wife.......although the part about having more money in the bank doesn't hold true.

2019 should be a good year for the BMW as I intend to stop treating her as a mobile skip and start treating her as the appreciating modern classic she deserves to be.  :y

The dated derv has to be worth more than an M1 already.

......but somewhere around £10,000 in the 16 months I've owned it wouldn't be far wrong.

You could have bought Tigger's beemer with that money.

I doubt £10,000 would be enough to secure a 20 years old classic derv BMW.  Sir Tig wouldn't sell it to me for such a paltry amount.

Without the use of a smiley irony and sarcasm is difficult to convey. I'm hoping that lazy bastard TB gets rid of the Christmas crap sooner rather than later.

Seriously though. You need to be wary of high blood pressure as it can lead to a stroke if left untreated.

I'd hate to think of you dribbling into your cardigan whilst aimlessly watching Corrie.

.......oh, hang on a minute, it may be too late.

Started the New Year with a cooked breakfast and a five mile stroll through the New Forest.

That's the year's exercise done in one hit, which leaves 364 days to relax :D

Depends on who/where.  Apparently it must be on 12th night.

If it has been high & untreated for some time it increases long term memory loss and is a dementia causing factor, so get it sorted & spend a few £££s on a BP monitor to check it regularly.

Hopefully uncle STEMO has been to the doctors and all is well or the doc has given him medication .
buying a monitor and constantly checking his blood pressure will just cause stress and increase BP
BP changes all the time ,depending on what your up to,(resting and relaxed =lower ,out on the rob or running away from the rozzers =high)

I'm worried about the old boy 'having a fall' when the icy weather arrives. He might end up needing a plastic knee or hip.

have you not seen those documentaries "The Terminator" and "Robocop" and "Bionic man"
If you replace all the worn out parts on uncle STEMO with bionic/robot parts you'd end up with Robostemo , not Robocop .but  Roborobber  :o

I am touched

by your concerns.

I am getting a 24 hour blood pressure monitor to wear. Unfortunately, the practice can only afford one, and there are three on the list before me. But the nice lady doctor assured me that my head will not explode imminently, and I am still the most handsome patient in the whole of Yorkshire.

when you get it fitted ,keep a time record of what you are doing ,when they review your high and low BP events they will be able to cross reference the data , (eg,high BP at 2pm = court appearance)
But the nice lady doctor assured me that my head will not explode imminently, and I am still the most handsome patient in the whole of Yorkshire.
she blatantly LIED about the second part, so what makes you think your head won't explode   ::)
