x25xe caravan transmission conversion
« on: 10 December 2018, 14:06:42 »

Hi everyone,

Has anybody converted their opel b caravan with x25xe auto tranny to manual tranny? I am done with the auto tranny with all its problems. Also is there an alternative to the getrag r25 or 28 form other car makes or brands? Limited to the availibility of the getrag tranny here in the Philippines.

Thanks in advance.

Be much simpler to upgrade to an AR35 which is very robust. :y

What problems are you seeing with the auto.  They might be old and basic, but are pretty robust with a inor service every 80k or so.

(ignoring the TD engines, as they rip autoboxes to shreds)

Sorry for the delayed response,

Transmission has been repaired/overhauled 2 times already, almost all omegas here have the same problem

starts fine and then jolts or jerks then a transmission fault shows on the display. it seems its running on 3rd gear when the error happens.

we don't have a supply of ar35s here unless theres a bmw counterpart.

the opels in the philippines are the last of the mohicans here and we dont have much resources for parts and used items.

Thank you and very much appreciated your response.
